Frequently Asked Pre-Booking Questions
How far in advance should I book Classic Inca Trail permits?
Official Inca Trail permits are strictly capped at 500 per day by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture. For high season (May through August), we recommend booking 5 to 7 months in advance. For shoulder season (March, April, September, October, November), 3 to 4 months in advance is usually sufficient.
What is your deposit and reservation policy?
To secure your official government trek permit and lock in your dates, a deposit of $200 USD per person is required upon booking. The remaining balance can be paid safely online or in cash at our Cusco office during your pre-trek briefing.
How do your guides help with altitude acclimatization?
All our mountain guides carry pulse oximeters, specialized first-aid medical kits, and portable emergency oxygen bottles. We recommend arriving in Cusco (3,400 m / 11,150 ft) at least 48 hours prior to your trek start date to allow your body to adjust naturally.
Can solo travelers join small group or private expeditions?
Yes! Solo travelers are welcome to join our small group departures (maximum 8-12 trekkers per group) or request a private customized itinerary tailored to their exact pace and preferences.
